1. I wouldn't drink alcohol with any medicine. Don't drink, please...it may have a bad effect on you after you take it. Even if it's safe to, I wouldn't chance it because everyone is different.
2. Take your pills with you to your first AA meeting maybe? Just a thought.....=o)
3. Ask your doctor. However, I'd say, if you are trying to loose weight, dont drink alcohol. Alcohol especially with a mixer (or beer) is fattening.
4. i would say no usually with prescribed medication you can and you can check on-line if you type in the name of the medication it will tell you on-line..
5. So you are taking weight loss pills but you want to down a dozen beers a night. Ever heard of, "Having your cake & eat it". Try cutting down on your portions and eat healthy, and of coarse ..........exercise.......get on your feet & make it happen.....

Alcohol: In a multiple-dose study in 30 normal weight subjects, coadministration of XENICAL and 40 grams of alcohol (e.g., approximately 3 glasses of wine) did not result in alteration of alcohol pharmacokinetics, orlistat pharmacodynamics (fecal fat excretion), or systemic exposure to orlistat.
